The more your team instore understand the hardware and care for it, the longer it will last and remain fault free.
There are several key things that your in-store teams should know about their point of sale hardware.

1.  How to safely exit the S8pos program.

Because the S8pos program is so flexible, each keypad is different and the exit buttons will be located in different areas.  Make sure locating this is part of your user manuals.

2. How to safely shut down the POS unit so they can remove the power cable.

Shopping centres occasionally have power surges so it is important that your team know how to restart or shut down the system correctly – pulling it out from the power is not recommended.

3. Where the modem/router is located in the store

Knowing where the device is can help speed up any internet related support questions. Also ensuring it is a ventilated space free from other debri is the most ideal.

4. General physical care

a. Ensure your team know how to remove the tray insert from the cash drawer to check for debris/missing money or obstructions ($2 coins are generally the culprit!)
b. Ensure your team have the correct procedure in place for cleaning down any equipment.
